Our brief was to create a shared bedroom and playroom for twin boys in a Grade I Listed apartment within the magical Inner Temple sanctum. We even managed to created a fabulous little study area at the top of the stairs by re-planing the entrance space. Narrowly surviving the Great Fire in 1666, our task was to rework the flow and function of the bedrooms to make dark, compact rooms feel open, light- filled and contemporary. With three sets of clients to delight (our family, English Heritage and the Inner Temple) this was a hugely rewarding project.
