Hunca Munca Babies, Beatrix Potter - Art Print
One morning, the little Girl and her Governess leave the nursery and Tom Thumb and Hunca Munca, two mice living under the skirting board, sneak out to the toy dolls house. To their great excitement, they discover food laid out on the dining table and try to eat it, only to discover it is toy food. Annoyed, they mess up the dolls house, throwing plates and pretend food all over the floor. Then, Hunca Munca finds a soft bolster which she takes back to the mouse hole, so she can make the cradle for her babies cosy and soft. When the little Girl and her Governess return to the mess, they are horrified, and realise the mice are responsible. But then say the mice are not "so very naughty after all" in forgiveness. Hunca Munca resolves to clean and tidy the dolls house every morning to make amends.
We all grew up with the wonderfully evocative Peter Rabbit stories and this illustration, part of our Beatrix Potter collection will look fabulous on its own or grouped together as a set.
